Leah de Gooijer

Hello, my name is Leah de Gooijer; I am a 3D modeler and texturing artist. For me, art is expression, whether of an idea, an emotion, or of a story, hence my background in conceptual fine art. Finding 3D art as a medium mixes that creativity with a very logical, real world style of problem solving. I'm excited to be a part of a collaborative, passionate, and driven team all working to create what didn't exist before.

 

I see the industry as the perfect balance between fantasy and reason. It's a way to engage both the heart and mind at the same time. Media inspires others to create and ignites hope in the hopeless. One day, the creations I help bring to life will spark that joy and inspire the next generation moving forward. The media I work on will be someone's comfort after a long day and that thought keeps me going.

My free time is often spent running, playing video games, and improving my digital painting skills. I've completed 11 total spartan races, which are distance based obstacle races. They take a lot of grit and I often question why I do them, but I can't help but keep going back. I've completed 3 of the half marathon distance races and am training to eventually push through the full marathon version.
